P&O

My friend, Ashley H., gave Price & Owen these cute little shirts and I had to share pictures of them together wearing them. They are so cute!! Ashley knows all about coordinating outfits, since she is the mom of twins!!
Thanks Ashley!

Price's 1st day of Preschool

Monday we went to Price's new preschool so that he could meet his teachers and classmates and see his classroom and I got to meet the other mothers. He had a great time playing and I felt comfortable dropping him off for his first day on Wednesday. He was excited to get to his classroom and actually cried when I came to pick him up because he wasn't ready to go home! I was a little sad he didn't miss me but at the same time, I am thankful he enjoys school.

He is one of the youngest in his class so I hope he does okay....

Suzanne's Wedding

This past weekend I had the pleasure to be in one of my best friend, Suzanne's, weddings!! The rehersal dinner and wedding turned out perfect and Suzanne made a BEAUTIFUL bride.
Suzanne has been one of my closest friends from college and was my roomie for almost 4 years. I am so thankful that she found such a wonderful man to be her husband. Suzanne deserves only the best!
I did not get any pictures due to forgetting my camera so I stole Amanda's pics! Thanks Amanda!
Josh was not able to attend due to him being in his best friend, Vernon's, wedding in NY but my mom did bring Price for a bit. He danced on the dance floor for a while before having a major breakdown and having to go home.... (Suz, if you need birth control, your welcome to borrow him for a weekend!!)

CONGRATS DAVE & SUZ!! Thanks for letting me be a part of your special day! Hope your having fun in Jamacia!!

Quirks!

I was tagged by Ashley L. & Emily to list 6 quirky things about me!! Hmmmm..... Let's see.....

1. I don't really like country music, although I know the words to most of the songs.
2. I have been to 15 Jimmy Buffett concerts in my life and once thought I would follow his tour for an entire year.....although no one ever won the lottery to help me afford that venture.
3. I sent a video in to MTV to be on the Real World and still have my letter from Bunim Murray telling me I wasn't selected.
4. I once talked my way backstage at a Rascal Flatts concert and got to hang out with the band the entire night. Rascal will always have a special place in my heart! (They are an exception to #1)
5. I get a serious case of Motion Sickness on all amusement park rides, long car trips and cruises!
6. One of my biggest pet peeves is having the tv or radio up too loud. I can hear extremly well and loud noise drives me insane. I guess since the Lord didn't bless me with good eyes, he made up for it with good ears! :)

LEHS c/o '98

I had my 10 year high school reunion this past weekend and it turned out better then I could have imagined. I don't get to see many people I graduated with on a regular basis so it was so nice to see how everyone was doing and catch up.
It's hard to believe that it has been 10 years since I graduated. So much has changed since then...marriage, children, my friends....Even I have changed so much since then.

The one thing that has remained constant is my friendship with Rhetta! She has always been there for me and I am so glad to have her friendship. We have been BFF's since the 7th grade in Mrs. Boland's math class. (We hated each other in 6th grade!:)) Rhetta, thanks for 16 years of your wonderful friendship!!

I had such a fabulous time and can't wait for our 15 year reunion!! :)

Owen

It has been brought to my attention that I don't blog as much about Owen as I do about Price. That is only because Owen's favorite hobby is sleeping right now! I am sure when he is more awake I will have a lot more to say about him.
The good news is he has slept thru the night 4 times, 3 of them were in a row....but now he seems to be waking up at least once.........but hey, I'm not complaining. Once is pretty darn good for a month old.
Josh took him to the doctor on Saturday because I was out of town, and he weights 9lbs and 12oz. He's getting bigger everyday. We thought he had an ear infection but it's just reflux, thank goodness!

Price is doing good with his little brother. He kisses him now and then and helps put his paci in but otherwise leaves him alone. He tried feeding him his bottle a few times but when he found out he had to sit still, he was over it.

Owen is such a great baby. He rarely cries and sleeps so well. He loves his tummy time and usually falls asleep as soon as you put him on his tummy. He is starting to hold his head up by himself. Soon he'll be as big as Price. I am cherishing every moment of him being a baby!!

whas dat?

Price is finally speaking in sentences that I can understand. However, he likes to add extra syllables to several words (some say it's his southern accent, I disagree!!:)) such as ay-ut (at), pay-unts (pants), blay-uck (black), thay-ur (there).......the list goes on.....
I guess I understand him like only his mommy would. I sure hope he doesn't have to have speech therapy but it's not looking too promising!! :)
His new thing is asking: "Whas dat wight they-ur?" It's so cute!! My sweet little Price.....

Mary Grace's Birthday

Last Saturday we went to Mary Grace's 2nd Birthday Party! We had so much fun celebrating with their family. Price loves Mary Grace and affectionatly calls her "Dary Dace". We are so blessed to get to share in her precious moments and for having such great friends.

The Birthday Girl!

Price enjoyed the cake!!

All the little party-goers!

Sallie holding Owen (She's gonna be a great big sis soon!)

Mary Grace loved the present Price picked out!!

Leapin Lizards & cookout

Last Friday our playgroup went to Leapin Lizards. It was my first outting with both the boys by myself. It turned out very nicely. Owen slept the entire time and Price was very good. We all enjoyed ourselves and we will hopefully be doing that more often when school is back in.
Then Friday Night our church had a cookout for the Deacons. Price and Mary Grace had a great time running around the farm and Owen had a great time sleeping. It was great to get out again and socialize with adults. :)

Can I carry you?

I found this sweet poem to put in Price's baby book and I thought I would share!!

Can I carry You ?
© Brad Anderson
I guess that I can hold you one more time before you grow.
And tell you that I love you so that you will always know.
Please let me tie your shoe again.
One day you'll tie your own.
And when you think back to this time I hope it's love I've shown.
Can I help you put your coat on? Can I please cut up your meat?
Can I pull you in the wagon? Can I pick you out a treat?
One day you might just care for me, so let me care for you.
I want to be a part of every little thing you do.
Tonight could I please wash your hair? Can I put toys in the bath?
Can I help you count your small ten toes before I teach you math?
Before you join a baseball team can I pitch you one more ball?
And one more time can I stand near to make sure you don't fall?
Let's take another space-ship ride Up to the Planet Zoor.
Before our Cardboard Rocket doesn't fit us anymore.
Please let me help you up the hill while you're still too small to climb.
And let me read you stories while you're young and have the time.
I know the day will come when you will do these things alone.
Will you recall the shoulder rides and all the balls we've thrown?
I want you to grow stronger than your Dad could ever be.
And when you find success there will be no soul more proud than me.
So will you let me carry you? One day you'll walk alone.
I cannot bear to miss one day from now until you've grown. Can I carry You ? © Brad Anderson
